Plums are such an exceptional fresh eating fruit in summer. They are also a stunning spring flowering tree. They are part of the cherry group of trees, so expect beautiful white flowers loaded with pollinator insects in May.
Stanley – A classic Italian plum variety. These are delicious, sweet, juicy purple plums. This variety is susceptible to black knot but we have been managing it fine with regular pruning. These are on the Krymsk 1 rootstock, a powerful, well proven rootstock that should perform excellently in conjunction with these great genetics. Stanley is a variety that is considered self fertile, so only one tree is necessary. However it never hurts to have another variety around for cross pollination!
Growth Parameters:
Expect a medium sized orchard tree. Give as much such sun as possible, full sun is best.
