Description
You don’t see this perennial ground cover often! Big Birdsfoot is a larger version of the common birdsfoot trefoil which is abundant in lawns and along roadsides.
This is a great spreading ground cover. It covers an quickly if given a free area to run into. It certainly does well it wetter areas. I started my patch in an area where water runs off the roof and it has done very well there.
This could be a companion planted with many different species to help out-compete other weeds and add extra nitrogen to the surrounding soil!
Growth Parameters:
Expect a ground cover rising to about 2 feet maximum. Keep areas weeded to maximize light and soil for development.
